If I had to do it over, I would not powderoat the sliders the next time. There is no advantage with pc on those. Without front mudflaps mine are all chipped up on the leading edge anyways and are starting to rust where the pc has chipped away.

 

thats a good point. Plus all the abuse they take anyways.

If i were to do it again. Id get F/R alumium bumpers from Tim instead. be much lighter. Could have added/fix my stuff to the rear though..so maybe that was a good thing..but id get the PCed too.

just at the time couldn't afford it when i ordered.

 

i wouldn't line x them..doesn't look good. Too rough.

Id think about raptor lining though..good looking stuff there and hard as hell.

need to add that to my list..i need to bed line my bed before it rusts out or something.

No way I would line-x them. Too coarse and don't like the look. Was thinking of just cleaning them up and rattle can them. I have some semi-gloss/satin that matches up pretty good.

Is raptor a brand? spray on? I don't really want to redo the whole surface, only the chipped areas and of course the rock rash areas.

 

Yea raptor spray in bed liner. It's a brand product. 100bucks gets you the sprayer and 4 bottles I think. Need an air compressor to apply it.

And idk if it would work good as a touch up product..

 

It's alright. The biggest thing ive noticed is doing stuff here is expensive..like anything. So I don't a whole lot...haha getting cooler at night though but not cold yet. I miss working on stuff though. Gonna reorganize my room and start up on the side mirror project again.

And cool! I want to go to a cardinals game and blues too. But it's expensive!! Some point ill go. I guess they are doing good this year.

Just gonna put this out there. I Dont care what you coat your sliders and bumpers with if you put it up agains a rock what ever is on it is gonna die so why spend any gread deal of money on it.. just rattle can the fucker and call it good that way with a little sand paper and another shot of paint youre back to not rusting..

I agree. My bumpers are just primered with cheap walmart primer. I have more scratches on my bumpers that I do my sliders I think. Haha

 

Over all yeah paint is the way to go plus they will get hammered by every rock that your tire throws up so yeah rattle-can FTMFW

 

Im debating doing that rattle can bed liner that i did on my doors cuz it actaully can be taken off with sand paper.. yet it holds up to rock chipping like driving through gavel and then when you rock rash em from wheeling just spray some more on..
