It's a 3 way relay basically.

 

V is the signal wire from the switch(your toggle stick) that sends voltage to the main relay which flips it to hi beams

 

you can solder. Do it right. Those things suck.

But yea. Find that wire. CONFIRM it's the right one, should be easy to find with a volt meter. Tap into it and that'll be your signal wire to your other relay.

 

I can do a demo for you if ya want with photos. Not that hard. Actually easier I think.

I use one of these to tap into my daytime for my fogs. didn't have any issues with it at all.

Just electrical tape. About all you can do cause you won't be able to slip heat shrink on. But you can use heat shrink still tho. You just have to lay e wires after twisting them in parallel. Use just a bit larger size tubing and your good.

 

Can't you use a specific type of electrical tape as hear shrink? What is it, the 3m stuff I believe?

 

Screw those plastic things. They break, come off or get squashed and cut the wire.

Yea I'd find the wire on the steering colum from the toggle stick.

Just 3 screws under it and then in front you'll have to turn the wheel to get the two others...think that's right..

 

Yes violet wire V is from the actual toggle switch. That's the wire you should tap

 

yea you'll have 4 posts.

2 will have power on it. Thats the power that runs to your lights. Then one gets the signal from the switch and ground. The signal wire and ground creat a circut which flip the relay to allow the power through to the lights.

Id put the relay in the engine bay.

5 posts are if yes you have an illuminated switched or if its a 5 post there are other uses..

if you buy a 5 post you'll just have to use the right post and leave one blank.

Blitzpro lights only come with the light and some quick disconnects..which are kinda a PITA anyways.

No wiring or relay or fuse or switch.

depending on the size of bar you end up with (15vs 21) you won't need a big fuse for either.

God i wish you were closer..id build you a custom fit harness..be a fun project for me..i need something to build..


then again....i have a tacoma...

i i could build you a harness..then all you'd have to do is mount it and add the signal wire to the relay..attach the ground..install the other half of the quick connect to the light..

either way.

You'll have to build pretty much the whole thing. Or you could just buy a premade one from Hella or someone.

Yea been a while since you have really done anything to it.

and yea you could pick up just some LED turn signals or something like that to run off those..

actually..how big are the bulbs that run off those originally...could run some 6lzs maybe off em..

No i know you don't need turns i was just going for sort of a fog light.

i drive with my mirror lights on all the time..cause i LOVE the improvement of POV. Never get asked to turn em off and i have passed many cops. If 55w fogs can be run..i see no reason why these can't.

would literally act like a fog light. Could mount them on the outer bars on the bottom so they point out a bit. Then the center LED bar fills the front and the HID Hellas get everything beyond in front.

add some mirror lights and you'd have a damn good setup IMO.

But..that all depends on what the stock bulbs are..the 6lz are only 6w. barely pull 1.5amps..i bet you'd be fine running them there..
