ummm you should look at that system, I use a center lock to engage 4wd, both axles are powered just slip, just like some of the runner systems

    i do wish it was a rwd - 4hi - 4lo system

not awd - and 4lo..... though Ill soon have awd 4hi - 4lo

    just reading between the lines

some places call it full time 4WD, but ive always been told this requires the T-case to be locked same power front and rear where as my system requires the center diff to be locked in order for full time 4wd

I got a switch on the way which will apply power to the actuator to make my center locked so I can bomb down the desertin 4-hi vs 4 low

i think the limited 4-runners are the same way too

Really? I assumed it was a full time 4wd with the ability to just lock the center diff to make it part time (like our trucks) from the factory.

Maybe I am a little confused on what you are saying but this has been my take on this stuff.

Part time 4wd is like what I have, 2Hi-4Hi-4Lo
Fulltime 4wd is 4Hi-4Lo (can be accompanied by a center diff lock)
    AWD - 4Hi

Basically the only difference between the Full time 4wd and AWD was the ability to shift the 4wd in low range.

Nope I have a center diff lock, if I don't have it locked I can't climb shit, I apply power to pin 7 it actuated the center diff lock, I than have even power front and rear and climb, I shift into low range and I have 4 low
