Ya, although any powder would work, even flour I guess. It's just a dry dust, and any oil will show quickly.

Yea your missing a bolt for the top valve cover..kinda important..haha

Could also be a front main seal. but looks like its pouring down to be that caked so most likely bad valve cover gasket or..god forbid a HG. Check the anit freeze to see if any oil is in it.

do the power method he mentioned too. Check your oil while your at it and make sure your not super low.

Both Andy and Jordan think valve cover gasket. So that's what in hoping it is.

And it's not missi any bolts. The enjoys threads you guys are seeing dont hold anything down. As in they are only on Tw valve cover, and don't tighten down to anything. I cleaned off the valve cover seal and I'm gonna drive it and see if it leaks from there so I can confirm that's where the leak is. Also going to order a gaske kit and some rtv an get ready to do work lol.

not sure you would like crome rims anyways.. but if you did want em id probably sell em for $150.. rims and tires..

 

IF you are doing the VC gasket it's always a good idea to pull the two half moon plugs at the front of the cover and reseal them while you are there.. thats the only place you should use RTV anyways..

I have the same system

 

In high school we had a kid whose dad had an 80 something Mustang with a 351 Windsor in it and he thought that motor was the shit! haha He always bragged about how it had 6000+ HP and this was in the god damned auto class of all places haha

 

I did some research

dB's are measured on a logarithmic scale

1000db's could destroy the universe. haha

 

I had a decibel meter with me at the F1 race in Montreal last year , 135-145 db as the cars passed us at full throttle
