I see. Guess that has to do with our frames being dove tailed while yours aren't. That explains why it is so easy for you guys to just angle your shocks inwards like Silas did.

That's funny because I am going to move mine inside the frame rail. Although I am thinking that I may notch the frame to keep them as far out as possible.

I have to run spacers to clear shocks outside the frame rails. If I run spacers I am going to have to cut the shit out of my bedsides to clear for all that extra up travel... Plus in the future when I go to 37's and bypasses I won't have to worry about the tires and shocks connecting. MJP2 suggested I do that, and Username is running his that way as well. Granted he removed the dovetail from his frame.

    I mean SOA
is it? Idk how the fuck 2nd gen shackles work
but even then, shackle flips are meant for downtravel, not uptravel..right? so thats like putting a plate bumper on a lt truck

Well, SOA up travel is already limited by the leafs contacting the frame so doing the flip will give you more travel, although can be at the expense of putting your leafs into neg arch at bump. Just depends on your leaf pack from there.

I've had mine inside the frame rail for a long time, next I'm going to move them outside. Inside works great for a race truck. I miss a bed and storage space though. With the backspacing on the hummer beadlocks there is lots of room....plus you know you want glass bedsides anyway.

I will want/need glass eventually but at the moment it is just more money and besides it would look funny to have wide besides with oem fenders up front. Haha my skinny tire would look goofy as hell too with glass and I would have to redo my bumpers...

It all depends on the spring design. I hear the 2nd gen OEM springs handle neg arch greatly because they are designed for it. Meanwhile Brant's deavers that he has, get fucked over rapidly from it...

What little bedspace I have now, won't be affected too much from my shock hoops if they turn out right. I pack pretty light anyway and have a whole backseat so I should be fine. I can always pickup a trailer to take on those trips if needed and that is the plan eventually anyway.

Just FYI, it is fucking cold... We got a little snow last night after it rained like all day yesterday. It was 26* just now when I was driving home from class.

yea i have been planning for cold as fuck :D

warmer would have been better, but worst case i sleep in the truck and occasionally run the heater..

looks like lows expected to remain in the low teens next couple days
    http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClic...earchresult=Idaho Falls, ID, USA#.Uo5ZB-KQPKc

so much for my plan to bring water in my rotopax tho  filled them up yesterday trying to save time today and they're already frozen...

one good thing is i don't have to worry about bringing a cooler :D

Yea looks right. Side with the spacers is for the frame mount.

not sure why there are 3 though..must be a spare?

    Excuse me..backwards..

spacers are for the leaf side.
