Might be a good idea to drain the oil and look for chunkies... It might just be the cold too. My shock valving feels like pogo sticks in single digits.

He's on a lincoln locked rear ended that he has been babying lately.

Yeah after a lock right came appart and took out everthing in the diff minuse a ring and pinion i found a used carier it was missing a tooth of one of the spider gears and i figured ah fuck it its just getting welded ive been babying it since cuz i never have liked welded rear ends. and what i suspect is that the gears are having a come apart they can only take stress for so long befor they give up so most likely ill drive it till i hear it again then park it and drive my cummins till i can afford to buy the parts i need.

Mean while my dad keeps saying you know you have that 14bold just sitting in the shop..

 

Just bolt up the 14 bolt! and buy an ARB for it

 

its still only 4.10 gears and cant clear a 15" rim so new rims and tires for what?? im swapping in the spring and ill be able to sell the arb for what i paid for it so whats the big deal??

edit unless monte wants to buy my gears and just figure out the locker on his own then i wont make moab but ill get a swap done faster?? hmmm the whole idea of the rear arb was so i could make moab in the spring..

Why would i want a gear that has teeth missing?

Id take the arb if i could afford it. Can't right now though much less 2 arbs..

 

The spider gear was missing a tooth so he welded them together, not the 4.88's they are the brand new ones he installed in Moab I think. You could just replace the spiders with a locker anyway.

yea would..but like i said. have 0 funds for that.

Plus i actually have a 4.88 R&P for the rear already. Nothing for the front.
