No problem. I jumped into it pretty blind so i figured out the hard parts pretty quick. Biggest issues i had was popping out the outer balljoint and breaking the nuts.

Its been a while since I've been here. Just working and working and working overtime while possibly moving to Couer D Alene. Anyways, Uncle Sam shafted me this year on taxes and while I was looking to buy the full OME Suspension kit, I'm limited to about 600$. I've pieced together what may be a decent lift in my price range for now.

What I'm looking for from you guys is educated, or not so educated opinions on how this looks. If you know of better pricing or deals that would be awesome.

How are you going to power an electric impact? I just looked at the specs of a cheap harbor freight one and you would need a 900+ watt inverter to run one. At that point you are drawing a good 65 amps off your alternator. Not sure what your alternator is rated for.

 

I would just get a Dewalt 1/2" battery impact

 

Or you could get air tools as well if you have/get a c02 setup.

 

Ben Newman had a pretty sweet battery impact when I was at his place last year. Not sure if it was 1/2" or 3/8" though. We spiraled an extension bit with it pretty nicely! haha

 

Sounds reasonable.

FYI, for 2" in the rear, get an extended brake line, you will be very close to needing an extended exhaust hanger unless your pipe is cut before it passes over the leafpack, and you will need a BPV relocate bracket, but you can easily make one yourself if you want to. Get new U-bolts too.

 

x2 on the ubolts, and brake line if you can spare the change.


I ran my toytec 2" with a stock line without problems though

 

I still havent put on my extended rear brake line lol. and im running +3" lift in the back and i ran whipsaw this summer with no issues

yea. I have to get up that early to eat, shower and be on the road by 9-9:10. Gym opens at 10 and i work weekends. Hopefully make good money though..

I had 4.5'' with the stock line and was okay. When i flexed..it was pushing the limits haha

 

Thanks for all your suggestions. I will get some new Ubolts as well. I was gonna ask you Ben about your lift and the exhaust hanger/brake lines but you already answered. I haven't heard anything bad or good about the Rough Countries, so I will test them myself.
