They are very aggressive in that race. This situation from last year makes me laugh every time I watch it. Especially the guy throwing rocks at the guy who drove over his car.

Was exploring some National Forest South out of CDA...
Heard a horrible sound, as I entered a trail-head; stopped, and found this thing pierced and wedged between my C-Rated Duratrac and wheel-well
Took me a fair amount of time to maneuver it out

Can't think of any reason this thing would be brought into existence and end up where it did;
other than to do specifically what it did... get lodged in my tire
Maybe someone was trying to protect their fields of grass or something

I immediately started praying I had enough air-time left in my tire to just move to a spot more conducive to changing it; I actually still haven't ended up needing to
Thankfully, the nail that got lodged in my tire only went into the tread and not all the way through into the tire itself
It went around at least a rotation or two; so, I'm also thankful it didn't get wadded up in my suspension, rip my CV boots, etc.

 

In spite of what you may have read, not all americans own weapons.

 

I see a couple things here, one as Ben pointed out, it is a race and you don't win by just waiting and two it doesn't look like he did that intentionally in anyway. He was a ways aways from them and pointed away from them to start and when it started heading their direction he was trying to steer away from them the whole time.

It's in California I think they actually have stricter gun laws than Canada anymore...
