Haha yeah. What was weird is that it was a pain to try to fit the bottom shock eyelet onto the lower shock mount on the driver side. But it slid on pretty easily with a rubber mallet on the passenger side. Was odd... Haha

 

ya, stock mounts are fairly thin so to speak and can get squished in a bit due to over torque or something else, happened with my mounts too, you can pry them open a bit if they really are tight.

 

I even tried to word that as carefully as possible so a comment like that wouldn't happen!

If not, then the comment made no sense. Why would a shock that was made for 96-04 Tacomas not supposed to go on an 03 Tacoma shock mount?
