I have lightly thought about it. But haven't looked I to it.

I know just normal gps has gotten very good. I work with one all day and it is very impressive.

But I haven't looked into anything super fancy. Something to get for sure though.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
OSMand maps. You can download up to 3 or 4 states for free. Topo, gps from phone or tab works. Might not get all little service roads but give it a try.

Pretty hard to beat an Ipad with the motion-x app. There is a roof mounted gps puck for them also. Plus, you can watch pr0n when not navigating. At work we use the Garmin Rino handhelds. The cool thing about them is that they are also a radio and you can see where everyone else with a rino (that you sync to) is located. I always thought those would be nice for trail runs because you wouldn't have to wait for someone who stops to take pictures or whatever.

I see. Well I guess that is out then, not that it wasn't already. haha No idea where to lose weight unless I start ripping out seats and the dash like you did, but I don't really want to go that route. I was carrying 4 adult male passengers almost the entire time I was in the sand so when I go out by myself that will have shed almost 800lbs. haha The other option would be to go to tube bumpers but I've always found them ugly and I don't want to have to buy new bumpers anyway.

I don't know how you got your rig down to 4K lbs with the full cage.
I'm pretty sure that by the time I have a cage, I could gut my rig and still be over 6K lbs.
Not gonna happen... I've managed to bend one of my 1/4" skids... I've mangled the 3/16" parts of my front bumper and the one 3/16" skid I have. 3/16" just wrinkles under me far too easy... My other two 1/4" skids and my 1/4" bumper have been unphased though. 1/4" was still a great idea to protect my vital shit. Probably holds my frame more stable as well.

1.75x.120 wall DOM only weighs 1.5lbs per foot. 100 feet= 150lbs. You can build a lot of shit with 100 feet of tubing. Removing the bed was the single biggest weight loss, followed by the factory seats. I bet the weight offset of replacing the seats counters the weight of every inch of tubing on my truck, easy.

Are those race seats that much lighter than the stock seats? If I did race seat I would run 2 in the rear as well, but I do like having the extra storage under and behind the seats in the back. The flat back seat fits stuff better though when packing for camping. I would like to get rid of that damn factory subwoofer in the back but that would involve rewiring the entire audio setup and I don't really want to bother with that until I get some aftermarket speakers for the doors. I don't remember the bed being very heavy, but we did use the hoist to remove it since we didn't have enough people per corner and had to lift it over my towers.

I have way too many to-do's on my rig and just not enough time it seems... haha

I know how the not enough time thing feels add a house ontop of a truck and then plan on moving in a year and a half and just let the stress soak in.

For sure under 20 pounds, maybe even under 15. I bet the stock seats weigh 75 pounds each.

Fuck! I need some race seats then. haha I assume you threw out all the sliding rails and just mounted yours solid? Not sure if I want to retain the ability to slide my seats or if I should just fix them in place. Could be a good way to keep people from wanting to drive my rig. haha. I ride pretty close to the steering wheel. People taller than me would likely have their knees in the dash.

I hard mounted them to the cage, but they do make adjustable rails for them that bolt into the factory holes. It makes it hard for my wife to drive though, sliders would be better.

That kind of goes along with my point earlier. My wife is 5'3" and we use the same seat position in all 3 vehicles. It's kind of nice because we never have to move the seats. We still have to adjust mirrors though. Not that I am tall by any means at a measly 5'9".
