    Noise free and my wallet much lighter.

    guy I had do the work saved the parts so I could send them to the previous owner so he can try to get a refund from the shop that installed them incorrectly and used the wrong parts. Apparently a 21 bearing was installed and my rear requires a 24? Also the pinioin was shimmed wrong and things weren't measure quiet right. Just glad it didn't grenade on me before I got it in.

    Use a timer, set it for 2-3 hours. Depending on your electric rate and the heater, it likely costs under 15c a day. So, per month, under $5.

    I'm pretty sure it's the factory block heater. I've never actually used it so I don't even know if it works. My thermometer was reading 6* so not ND cold, but plenty cold for me. haha

    That's a pretty good idea right there. 2 of my neighbors have diesels that they keep plugged in with extension cords across the parking lot.

    I have a friend on facebook that I went to high school with who is a bro diesel fanatic type guy. Well he is going to school in Laramie I think, and his diesel wouldn't start a few days ago and he had to walk to school... I almost wanted to make a meme saying "Get a diesel they said, it will be fun they said" :rofl:

    He gave me shit on facebook back when I bought my Tacoma because it wasn't a diesel. haha

    I plug in the duramax when it's below zero. It still starts fine, but it takes a long time to warm up if you don't plug it in. I had a heater on the transmission in the taco last winter. It starts fine even at -30F, but the dang manual trans won't shift for shit when it's super cold.
