They do look small but I have yet to see an aftermarket single/double din that delivers as clean of a look as the OEM head units on the 09+

 

the 08 HU is ugly. I like the new 2012 dash way better.

Do some checking on filament. Know with 1st gens and elite bumpers and bud built skids you have to trim the skids to fit good

 

Ben, I don't think anyone is hating on your lift. They just know that a spacer and aal are not an optimal choice. In your case, you are forgiven for this indiscretion. Your broke, without employment and it was given to you.

And...you really can use an extra 2".

 

MM uses the same mounting points as stock so I'm assuming it will fit

It depends on Tim's design for his 2nd gen bumpers.

In this pic you can see that even though the location of the skid mounts are in the same location as stock, the amount of room forward of the bolts is limited by the design of the bumper. For the stock skid this does not matter. For the Budbuilt skid it does matter.




About 3/4" of the lip has to be removed.

 

Interesting. I guess the only way to find out is to order the skid and see if it fits :/

 

Its not really that big of a deal to cut it off. We used a port-a-band to cut it. I think I read somewhere that Bud will send it to you cut the right length now if you tell him when you order.

I'm betting that tim can tell you for sure if the 2nd gen design is the same in that area.
