    I'm about to start applying for jobs in Boise... I haven't been having any luck looking in Pocatello, Idaho falls or Twin Falls. They either don't really care to fill the position or they are being very picky about that 2+ years experience...

    Yeah. I haven't looked quite that far north yet. Ideally we want to end up in the Twin Falls area but there are no jobs for new grads there. There are only 3 or 4 EE jobs in general...

    I was looking at Microns website and they are looking for 200+ EE's in Boise alone right now!:eek: of the first 25 they posted in the last 2 weeks 10-15 of those don't require experience.

    I'll have to talk to Candice about it. It'll depend on if she can find work too and Boise has plenty of work available.

    There are more jobs in your field than listed, just change the search term to "Electronics". Don't forget you get pref points for being a vet, and you can apply for jobs as a "federal employee" (internal postings). I work in a similar field, and I can tell you that it's very difficult to get a job with no experience and a EE degree.     If I were you, I would reclass to a tech MOS and get some real world circuit time in as a full time/AGR dude. Decent pay, and when you are out it's much easier to slide into a big boy job.

    I applied to a couple jobs that INL had posted but a couple weeks later they just reposted them... Those jobs are gone now and the only ones they have now want 7+ years experience...

    As for an AGR slot, I'm hoping to just get out of the military and be done when my current enlistment is up. It's just sucking up what free time I have, and with all of the benefits getting cut left and right and such, there's almost no point in staying in...

    I hear that about getting out, but it is a great opportunity to build a resume in the electronics field. I learned how to repair radios, radar, missile guidance computers, network fiber optics and sysadmin interwebz as a green suiter, and consequently walked into a job on the civilian side very easily. I don't have a degree, but I do have a six figure income and am more than willing to help you get your shit straight. That full time slot in the last link is gravy....just sayin'. ;)
