Well last night was a blast,buried my truck up to the doors in the mountains above ellensburg Wa last night at 2am during a snowstorm had to dig it out. Finally got it unstuck at 5 this morning

 

Truck started making all kinds of noise in 4wd, thought t case, konsta said diff, I checked the tires, front pass was like 12psi under front driver, for like a month. Never even noticed. Turned on the arb, so no t case, to just activate the front, grinds like a bitch, over 9ish mph and only on coast. So a lot like my rear in moab this year

All cuz I took a girl wheeing and didn't fill the tires up right and never noticed the sidewalk flex more than the others, Fuck girls im gonna become gay

Assuming your 4wd is setup like a 2nd gen, that psi difference shouldn't matter because the ADD disconnects the front passenger axle from the diff. Hell I drove from Boise to Pocatello on the freeway with a 33 on front driver and a 30 on front passenger. haha

Also if that is the case, it's a spider gear problem, not a ring and pinion issue and that would mean your ARB is fucked... Which I doubt unless you got a lemon.

 

yeah but he was driving around using 4x4 ive seen it boil the gear oil out of the front diff before. That's why i told him to check air pressures and suspected to front diff.

 

Got ya! That would do it! That's why I just leave my tires aired down all winter. Usually saves me from needing 4wd around town anyway.

 

Carpool buddy had a flat on his Ford ranger, when I was jacking it up. I told him that his pinion seal was leaking oil and on the way back he kept stopping because he thought it was something engine wise, and I told him that it DoubleClick the rear end like maybe pinion bearing. He continued to drive until we got to my truck and it was boiling in the rear diff.
