380 ACP and 9mm have plenty of power for stopping people. Especially considering most attacks/muggings are at point blank range. You should look at the little LCP2. It's a pretty sweet little gun. My wife really likes hers. It's as pretty much as small as modern pistols come and you can buy them new for $270-$300. Make sure it is a 2 and not the original. They greatly improved the trigger and sights on the new one.

Long video but it has some good points on these 2 calibers and self defense. This was made before the LCP2 was made.

How is the LCP2 in the hand? That's one of the reasons I went with the XDs, it fits well in my hand. I have long fingers so sometimes with the stubby guns getting my finger on the trigger isn't as smooth as it should be.

I have a real problem here. I can't conceal a larger pistol because of the way I'm built. But it's more difficult to shoot a small gun because long ass fingers. Hahaha

I know sportsman's sells wood for smoking, but I can't remember if they have the full on logs or if it's just chips.

Lowe's website says they have bundled firewood

Nice! We are hoping to do more camping/traveling this year. All depends on if Ryan will need another back surgery or not.

Not the best comparison since it is actually pretty hard to take these pics by yourself... haha

I stuck my pinky out just to show that I can't get a pinky on the grip on either one. The XDs with a regular mag (I shoot extended mags) and the LCP2 has it's standard grip extension mag in it.
The 2 pics on the right show how far my trigger finger extends passed the trigger guard.
    20170310_074736.jpgLCP vs XDs 1.jpg

This just shows me pulling the triggers just enough to take the slack out of them.
    20170310_074811.jpg 20170310_074930.jpg

This is how my trigger finger sits with the slack taken out. You can see my finger sticks out a little more on the LCP2.
    LCP vs XDs 2.jpg

I wouldn't say my hands are big, but they certainly aren't small. You'll have to go to Sportsmans or Cabelas and check one out. The trigger pull is very similar to the XDs.

If you are looking for a bunch for home, try feed stores like Aslin Finch, Del's, North 40 for the presto logs. If you want something for camping type, look at gas stations and convenience stores

Came home from work and washed the taco. Still need to detail my chrome and back to black all my trim, but she's looking good! Finally washed all the winter muck away.
