Thanks Ben! I had them greased last year but I think it's time I purchase my own grease gun.

 

My truck is an Automatic.

I mean. If it IS my throw out bearing I have a serious problem.

 

check your ujoints and cardan joint also your center bearing. Some U-joints dont have zerks if thats the case Id replace them with U-joints that do have zerks.

 

we got 1/2" of snow last night

 

I'm in for a meet and greet. Don't have a heavily modified Taco, but plans in the future for some and wouldn't mind meeting up with people and checking out what they did to their trucks!

 

I had to replace my center bearing so I just changed the U-joints while I was at it...I didnt want to mess with the cardan joint but it seemed solid so I just lubed it. The previous owner ragged the crap out of this Tacoma...

 

If there is a tacoma gathering in boise i am not trailering my taco 4 Hours just to show it off.

 

just going to have to get to building another one i can drive. Or if you guys go wheeling there then maybe ill bring Techoma out.

 

this was what happened to me when my rear u joint died.

 

I bought a used Toyota and it had weird vib issue...about 2-3weeks driving and the u-joint on front shaft of the driveline blew out and almost catapulted me, the front portion snapped off, bounced off my gas tank and messed up my bed of my truck. As it continued flying down the road like a roman candle.

Yup, grew up in Kuna. Moved to Meridian during my high school days, but moved back after graduating and buying a house. Been here ever since.

 

Thats just worst case scenario...you are prob just needing the U-joints lubed.

yeah I know the feeling...we got bear season opening sat, trying to get stands set up and get ready to put out bait sat morning.

 

yeah it didnt stick around too long...it was enough to cause a wreck on the highway...Its going to be a cold spring...putting a hamper on my fishing
