This summer I am going to build all underbody armor, bumpers, and sliders for my truck. Hopefully goes smoothly.

    Good to know

Fair point. I know of a couple of people that have come down on the DS right at the input to the diff (mademan925) specifically did this at slickrock last year or the year before. I try to be cautious of the important bits that aren't armored but no one is perfect. The only REAL reason I've been thinking about this is mostly for Moab. My wife can tell me when I'm about to back into something or front wheels are about to go over the side of the cliff, however I don't think she has any actual experience with spotting for lines.

Since we'll be there solo dolo, investing in some extra armor doesn't seem like a terrible idea. That, and we all know how I love wasting money. And if we didn't all know that, now we do!

Currently fielding suggestions, but probably nothing over moderate. I'd LIKE to do fins and things (the only difficult rated trail I kind of had my heart set on), but would really like feedback from anyone else with a DCLB without a high clearance rear bumper that has done it. I know I'll drag some ass on the receiver, but I'd prefer to not rip it off entirely.

You just made my day. I definitely want to do hells revenge, just thought it might be out of my wheel house. I think before the trip I'm going to disconnect the plug and harness, and zip tie it somewhere up high

the funtreks one? Amazon was out of stock like 2 months ago when I started planning. Ended up buying the iOS app (which has all of the books in it), but it's iPhone only and looks heinous on 2x zoom on my iPad Pro. Checked amazon again earlier on a whim after watching some some boobtube videos of different trails. This time they had it in stock, thank you Prime.

Appreciate the offer though! Those Onion Creek photos look great, I will put that down on the list for sure. As for time, I think we'll be there for 3-4 days in total before heading to SLC.
