How’s the weather looking for you southerners down in south ID? We were going to go camping but it’s a rainy weekend up here in the northern part. Tent camping in the rain with a baby maybe not so much fun

Wonder if anyone would catch that. Line snapped in the middle of the pull. I think I learned what the sleeve is for on the synthetic line.

What kind of rope were you using when it snapped? I’m asking because I got hosed on synthetic line I swapped into my m8000...shit melted to the drum. Went with some Kevlar reinforced winchline from winchline.com...probably paid too much but at least it ain’t gonna melt to the drum no more

I have a 9000lb Superwinch and its the line that came with it, only the second pull I had done with it. Doesnt show in picture well but it was a side pull 45-50 degrees off of the front. Disappointed- so I will be shopping for better rope.

When I bought my winch I put a synthetic on which was a pain in the ass to Re spool. I have the first gen Zeon 10k winch. I purchased a warn 3/8 100 feet and have no issue with it. Not sure If warn line is a re branded synthetic line. But it works great.

Yeah I saved my cable for stumps and trees and nasty crap. The good thing about cable is that it won’t melt to the drum and is tough...but it can also be sketchy and is heavy as hell. My cable weighed somewhere in the 30lb range.

Hope you guys have room for one more in your overly crowded state. I just accepted a job in Donnelly.

Anyone in the Sagle, ID area? I'll be visiting from FL soon and looking to see what else there is to do besides fishing and boating. Staying on the Pend Oreille River. Any suggestions? Will have my kids with me.

Hi Phil I’m about 45 minutes north of sagle but I would be happy to show you around. Sandpoint is the happening spot where you will be staying. Welcome to Idaho
