Ben did most of the work himself actually I had to lend a hand here and there and give him a few pointers.... Please for the love of what ever power you believe in DO NOT EVER try to loosen a bold with a box wrench that has to go back on the vehicle. /rant. Other than that Ali and I sat back next to the heater and watched netflix on the laptop.

    WAIT!!

Adam, did you get new Ubolts? or did you just reuse yours?

2nd gen unbolts work perfect on our trucks ben for AALs and bigger packs. My dads fit perfect.

If Adam didn't get new ones..then that sucks man  BUT now just go post in the FS section you want some newish, barely used Ubolts off a 2nd gen :D My dads had like less then 5k on em and were damn near new!

Flip kits are great. But on 1st gens it requires welding on new shock mounts to the axle..nothing Ben or Adam are prepared for.

Just needs to snag someones old stock 2nd gen ones who lifted the truck early in its lift.

    Hell maybe North has some..

Bens U-bolts are rusted to shit and were making some horrible noises. I didn't feel comfortable reusing them. They are 11 years old after all.

looks good ben. now just get some socal brap stuff to put on. i say socal brap. not just brap. because everyone that says brap here races dirt bikes. and they don’t have 2500’s with 16+” of lift and 37”+ tires. most lift i see is 6"

    same shit as everyone else
Dude just go to Napa in the morning and show them the size of bolt you need. They will most likely have them in stock. The threaded portion of the bolt might be different but they will have something that fits.

Oh and a flip kit make does just what it says. It flips the ubolts so that the nuts are facing up, this helps provide a bit more clearance through out the axle. But you have to reweld on shock mounts.

Ill be doing it when i over haul my rear suspension with new packs, and new cross member to relocate shocks and tundra axle.

Check Jerry's build for pics of it.
