I could possibly be interested in bashing some snow depending how far it is. One of my wheels doenst have any balance weights on it anymore and it gets a little exciting around 60

Tacoma sold on Saturday. Got 10k for her o_O and then I cried. Lol

Drove some SUV's this weekend.. decided I'm the most indecisive person on the planet. Husband talked me into getting something I WANT vs compromising because of cost.

So now I looking at 4dr 2nd & 3rd gens :notsure: (which is like looking for unicorns btw) we shall see.

Yeah, the prices are crazy. Just watching the 2nd & 3rd gens, they go quick.

The lease has been serviced by the dealer, that was confirmed.

Why wouldn't you buy a 3rd gen again? Just curious. (I've heard mixed reviews). It's hard when a 3rd gen is just a couple more thousand than a 2nd gen.

Wow even a manual is getting 14-16. Ouch. I guess I shouldn't trust the "20 -23mpg" (I was thinking more realistic of 18).

Save for the interior comfort of the 3rd gen, I would buy a 2nd gen for everything else. But it’s paid off and I’m too far gone at this point

It took 5.29’s and an OVTune for me to finally enjoy how it drives on and off road.

I WFH (pre-covid so that won't change). I'll be putting MAYBE 80 miles a week on it.

The big reason for selling my truck was the lack of space (for dog & groceries) safety (hwy 16 is scary) and the fact I couldn't jump in it and drive to western WA whenever I wanted to visit home. It sounds like the 3rd gen is more desirable for longer road trips?

I've been told to buy a brand new Tacoma instead of used because for some odd reason all the used are really jacked up in price. Not sure if it's true... I dunno, I really have wanted to upgrade to a 2021 but still haven't gotten myself to yet.... afraid I'll regret it.

That is one of the main reasons I went with new other than the better interior. The cost and difficulty of finding a 12-15 2nd gen that was optioned exactly how I wanted made me willing to spend the extra for a 3rd gen.

The extra features that TSS provides is amazing on trips. It's a night and day difference driving my 2018 over the 03 that I had prior. The only thing I miss about a 1st gen is how small they are. The 3rd gen hood is a nightmare to see over when wheeling if you're short like I am, but you do start to get used to it over time.

That is a valid point that I have considered. If I didn't WFH, MPG would be a factor and I probably wouldn't be purchasing a Tacoma.. That said though, after it's paid off I won't really care about the fuel efficiency (even if I do need to use it as a daily). It's a catch 22.

It was pure luck of timing on my part. TSS wasn’t anywhere on my radar. It took a while before dealers in Vegas got leather seat optioned vehicles, let alone in grey. The closest dealer just happened to get the correctly optioned truck at the same time funds were available.

I just hope the technology continues to last. More electronics more problems...

Thanks for that input! I do have a skewp now so I'm use to it and prefer ther look now as well so shouldn't bother me... I'm worried that I'll have issues like I've read about so I don't wanna upgrade and actually feel like I downgraded. I've only had one mechanical issue once with my rig and it was still driveable lol. But she is getting a lot of miles and I'm not mechanically inclined to repair it all the time as it ages...I dunno still a touch decision. If I had a good mechanic friend to help me anytime I'd probably keep it but I really don't...
