Just enough to look kinda cool.
It was like a 5’ drop off and then to try navigate around that last rock it was just a little too much for a solo vehicle. If I had someone further up that I could winch off I probably would’ve gone for it but didn’t want to get myself stuck and blocking the trail.

I realised that after about the 3 time getting stuck. I did try going up the creek but It was just so rocky and rough I backed down and went up the other path.

I might be interested in hitting it up in 3 weeks or so.

If you come to the treasure valley hit up my friend Ryan from Trax customs. He'll hook you up with anything you need.

We're so close to making this move to Idaho become a reality! Wife and I are at the collecting-job-offers portion of the process. Hoping to be there by end of September!

On the off chance anyone's in the medical field in the Treasure Valley area - anyone got job openings for nurses? Let me know!!!

Check St Luke’s and St Alphonsus. Those are the two major health systems in the valley (and the state for that matter). Start there.

I already have interviews set up with both systems :)

Trying to get in contact with the VA rep responsible for a job offering from them but so far no luck. Guess I'm on VA time.

Ya my friend was retired military and diffidently slower up there. Will say the VA is in a beautiful area of town (St Luke's main hospital as well) and foothills recreation is literally right out the door. Best lunch break ever. I will ask some of my nurse/PA friends if they have some contacts over there.

There's going to be a meetup tomorrow, Saturday, in the afternoon in Boise from 1-4pm at St. Mary's School. Idaho Overland Adventures/Overland Outreach/Taco Vinyl are putting on the event. Anyone planning to swing by?

Well, the Tacoma is up for sale. Decided to see if I can get a crazy amount for it since used car prices are insane right now. I'd ride the motorcycle and then get a 4 door Tacoma or maybe a Tundra when prices calm down or wait for a good deal to fall into my lap. I can always get a beater car to get me through the winter if needed. 3.5 mile commute to work makes it easy and the wife's car is decent for longer trips if needed.

Now the big debate is 2nd gen (2013-2015) DCLB or 3rd gen DCLB. If and older and "less expensive" model and I have extra money I could supercharge it... or Just go with the Tundra. The Tundra's would probably go a little cheaper when the new one is released this fall. And I'll be ditching the manual trans sadly.

I put it up for 23k (which is crazy since I bought it for 29.5k back at the end of 2013), and got a nibble at 20k but I'm not going under 21k minimum. There's a few cosmetic dings and scratches so it's not perfect but it's mechanically in good condition.

yep. I think they’re only going up. I expect MSRP to go up $2-3K in the coming year or two.

Well folks - inching closer to moving day and to say I’m excited and also terrified is an understatement.

Pods drops off our container next week, we depart Texas the following week! I’ll be towing the wife’s Accord, still we’re hoping to make this trip in 2 days. We did it on the way out from Cali and the trip was 1 more hour long - but I was only hauling/not towing so we will see.
Got a handful of interviews still lined up, a few offers, looks like jobs won’t be an issue.

excited to see the next meetup!
