Appreciate that. With limited experience doing mechanical tweaks on my truck outside of putting on a rack and swapping out cosmetic pieces...it can seem daunting and overwhelming. But agreed... nothing but love here I have found. Until you post in "roast my taco"...then you better have thick skin.

Should be able to get the shocks and coils preassembled and that would be the only complex thing. Otherwise yeah it’s only going to be like 4-5 wrenches and a torque wrench.

Adventure Apex is doing them now (taco vinyl). $80 per hour shop rate and they do free estimates. A buddy used 4wheel parts locally and they had a reasonable rate. He did buy the parts through them. Mine was 500 for 2 coil overs and 3leaf progressive pack. I thought that was a bit rich. Mine was done through a friend at a local tire shop. Would not recommend that.

You can just as easily diy your alignment too. It's not rocket science.

When you oreder it can you get the coils installed on the shocks? I know I had wheelers do that years ago on my OME setup.

If you are in Boise I would be happy to help show you the ropes, once the weather warms up.
I'll leave it to the computers to make right. Had really good success with Toyota doing them.

Boise 4x4 was around $350 for the labor to install my lift and $90 for the alignment. Been on about 4 months and so far so good...

Oh wait till you get a 2 post lift to work with. I was so spoiled with my last job. Solo installing my lift, 200k maintenance, other random maintenance was so easy.

I bet. I wish I had a lift but I'll take what I have. Can't afford a place with a shop in this town. I do want to get a floor lift for the cars at some point, would make a lot of jobs easier, the truck just wouldn't work on it.

Just stack some lumber up and balance the truck on that.

Who can afford lumber in this economy?

Afternoon all... gonna head out next weekend on 11-12th.
I haven't had a chance to explore the South, with the exception of Swann Falls and Bruneau...

Any good recommendations to hit some trails, good scenery and post up for an overnighter?

Look up the Owyhee Scenic Byway. It's a good two day trip. Succor creek is out to the west of the valley too. Jordon craters is further west but pretty cool place.

The Owyhee Scenic Byway is a pretty nice trail, and should be OK regardless of weather for the most part (it's well graded and mostly gravel).

If you head into Owyhee (Succor Creek) or Jordan Craters, you'll want to watch the weather closely. Almost any moisture and that place turns to slick muck that can be sort of fun and sort of a huge PITA.

Also, it's going to be pretty chilly, with rain currently forecast for Wed and maybe Sat.:

Here are a few trips to give you a sense of what's there. Lots of photos/descriptions/ideas of where to go:

Well I finally had some time and enough courage to pry open my door. Popped open with a good tug and after bending the door skin down and the inner door seal straight it opens and closes with no problems.
