Hoo boy, long-shot here. I'm needing some local Boise restaurant advice, can someone help a brotha out?

My wife's going to be in the area on business, and our favorite Mexican restaurant there is a little place called Andrade's. They dropped our favorite dish from the menu, "puerco michoacan", so we're looking for another mom-and-pop type Mexican place that might have it. Any recommendations?

No chains please, she'll definitely prefer a family place. I got her into digging the dive-ier Mexican restaurants for the GOOD food! Either Tex-Mex or authentic is great. Thanks!

Oh - thank you so much! We haven't been in the area in a few years ourselves, hence the ask.

It's nice to know she has some good options now. :D

Was pretty set on a KDmax tune based on my research here. Tacovinyl is going to be doing a tune day next Friday for $225 but they are doing OVtunes. I'm tempted since they are close and I'm assuming if I have issues they'd be willing to reflash for me. Thoughts?

They did my tune. The truck doesn’t drive all that different, but my MPG increased substantially.

Throttle response might be slightly better, but the trans still gear hunts a bit climbing hills and its still gutless. I’d say it’s worth $225 but just keep your expectations in line.

    Thanks!

I'm putting 40 miles a day on it as my daily driver right now, half of that is highway driving (55-70) and I'm averaging about 19-20mpg.

I think one of the most annoying things about the truck for me is the lack of throttle response, there's a huge "dead" zone in the throttle it seems like. Also when you're at a stop sign and give yourself whiplash because it's also some how too sensitive?

Also check out Overland Torque Tune (OTT) by Overland Tailor. There’s a thread on here for them with several good reviews. I would paste the thread here for you but I don’t know how to do it. Sorry

If you need supplies I would suggest stopping before you get up there. Enjoy the area!

The guys at Tacovinyl talked me into a cvc tune by @chanvchau. I'm very happy with it so far, no more lurching from a stop and getting up to 70 (and staying there) is tons smoother. Kind of disappointed I waited so long to tune it
