After riding around as a bed ornament for 3 months we actually used the tent for the first time this last weekend. 2 adults and a 55 pound blue heeler were a squeeze in the mini. Definitely learned a few things, like the canvas tent holds heat WELL way better than I expected. It got down into the 40's and we had to open the windows.

Next time I might make the dog sleep in the back seat of the truck, have to try that out, might not go over well..
Edit to add. Truck rolled over 10k miles this weekend too. Only had it for 9 months..

Just enough to look kinda cool.
I’d be down, I think one of the off-road groups I’d going to try in October.

Vans too big, trucks too wimpy. If y'all make it up there have fun! Recent videos I saw this summer show the trail has deteriorated more making it more fun I'm sure.

With the heavy snow year and wet August I bet it's changed quite a bit.

For sure. I was surprised there weren't more slides on the shale shelf road. Those are what will kill it. There was one last time we ran that anything much bigger would be a problem.
Actually I would bet it would be pretty competent up there if it had better wheels and tires. Not enough sidewall and I am not gonna scratch the wheels lol

You still have some time to find wheels and tires...

I mean there's a lot of options but they all eat into my fund for speed parts for my LS swap project so that's a no go lol I still need someone to buy my 35s. Set of 5 for $500, spare tire is brand new from discount and not a single taker.

    If I wasn’t satisfied with 33’s I’d grab them.

33’s already rub and unlike most people believe 35’s don’t actually fit on a Tacoma.

Want to trade them? I have an Radiant Red shell that would help with your traction issues at the track just collecting dust in my garage.

You? 35s?? The problem is location. Truck needs an alignment BAD but ive been putting it off until the engine is in so the weight is correct. I am not sure that i will be willing to trust the thing once the swap is done for a 990 mile round trip to pick up/drop off. i Know who the guy is doing the work...

The 1st and 2nd is when I'll be running Boulder. Have a mixed group of sxs, Toys and maybe a heep. Likely going to camp on the trail somewhere.

The weather made Boulder Basin a little more exciting. Surprisingly was still able to do all the usual lines with a few inches of snow on the ground. The first obstacle has filled in a bit. There weren't any rocks to get an axle hung up on. The fall colors and clouds were great. Unfortunately, the sxs track from a few years ago through the meadow to the city is now a prominent mud pit. Looks like it's becoming the preferred route.

My buddies ls swapped 4r melted a battery clamp when the switch to engage the winch was accidentally flipped. Not sure why the guy who built the rig would not have used a covered momentary switch with where it is located. I always leave my winch disengaged just incase I have a short or similar issue.
