 certainly both forks are accessible. Higher elevation has a way to go. Backside of Mores Creek Summit had a couple feet of snow still.

Spring time snow bashing sounds fun. I might be down.

Detailed a highlander this weekend. The more I wash cars the more I hate cleaning wheels, definitely makes me rethink what wheels to get for the taco.

Took advantage of the long weekend and got this done. Little extra room for the pooch.

Can someone help answer some questions I have regarding Boise, ID. My son will be moving to Boise State for school and will be bringing his 4runner along for his journey and stay.

1 - the 4runner has a clean/clear California title, does he need a VIN verification to register the vehicle there? If so, who does the VIN verification, State police prior to registration or can this be done while at the DMV?
2 - will a smog certification be require to transfer title to ID from CA?
3 - which car insurance should he avoid and which one is decent/good?
4 - what will he need to bring to obtain an Idaho driver's license?
5 - 4runner has yellow cube led pods for the fog light setup, will Idaho want the factory fog light on instead to pass inspection?

    Appreciate the help.

She answered your questions, the DMV website will help with your DV question. Registering a vehicle from our of state requires the vin check where the DMV clerk walks out and reads it. No smog/emissions, no safety inspection, no OEM equipment requirement (I registered a highly modified van from our of state a couple years ago, easily). Insurance is subjective.

How is the rock sling with that offset/tire size? I'm considering sticking with 16's and getting a more meaty tire. These look great

Too early to tell. However, I don’t anticipate major changes. The mud flaps still cover most of the tire. That was a consideration of mine as well, as I’m on gravel roads often.

16” tires are just getting harder to find. More vehicles are coming out on 17”s stock so tire manufacturers are moving from 16” to 17”

I switched to 17’s just recently got some RRW hybrid wheels, wasn’t a big fan of the color but it’s grown on me and I’m liking it now. IMG_1560.jpg

Yeah I'm undecided on what color I want. I do know I definitely don't want anything matte (I hate cleaning my wheels as it is). Either some sort of gunmetal or possibly a bronze but I haven't found the right ones yet.
Truck/tires have almost 19k.. I got another year or so to ponder.

I ran 17s for ages, currently on 16s which I absolutely love with the tundra brakes up front. They BARELY clear the calipers. I love the look of the brakes filling up the space behind the wheels. Plus when I had 35s on they looked like big balloon tires. Probably will switch back to 35s in the next year or so, miss how good it looked.

If 35’s are going back on does that mean the green truck will be reborn to off-road :boink:
