That was my experience in general when I was looking for a second set of wheels. But I thought they were all priced for a premium. 96 Civic for 5 grand and stuff like that.

It was, we chased some dust devils down with the truck. The eastern side was full of dust clouds and the wind at night turned the fire into a blast furnace.

Here is the photo of the big horn sheep. It’s a 1 to 1 crop. That’s how far away they were. C2C455C7-7299-4771-91C8-05D4DA9269E3.jpg

Legit. My wife and I were just talking this weekend how we had never seen any big horns in the wild before. Have seen just about every other oddball animal at some point, but no rams.

I can tell you where they were. The campground manager said to look out for them, so the have been in the area for a while. He seems to think the cougar drove them down from the higher mountains. It was also 11 am, so,there’s no stress about getting out early. It’s just a long way to drive for the day. Was our first time as well.

Looking to up grade the tires on the Tacoma. Anyone recommend a good local tire shop?

Anyone got experience with Toyo wild country ATs or Cooper ST MAXXs?

Discount tire has worked well for me. Locations all over the us. If you buy their certificates, they will replace a tire with a hole in it, no questions asked for the cost of mount and balance. It has been the case for the two tires I put holes in the sidewalks.

I will throw my hat in the ring for the KO2s. Been a great tire for us. I have no experience to compare to the two you list.

We had a set of Toyo's on our old 4Runner, worked good for what they were.

There was a bad collison outside of Moscow this morning and I figured what the hell and took off down a backroad instead of waiting to clear the road. Had some fun in the snow haha

Yeah, it looks like Discount tire is pretty good. KO2s ... dunno, sometimes I like to be individual . I’ll look at them again.

Les schwabs gives great service and does has been an awesome partner in the community if you go Toyos- anyone in 4H will vouch for Les Schwab. Discount has good prices though- BFG AT is what I am running-

I can respect that. My only complaint with them, as with all BFGs is the weakest sidewall. They are expensive but I will buy them again.

Regardless, discount tire is your best bet.

Just recently moved to Idaho from Montana and was wondering if you guys had a classifieds page. And i'll add my .02 cents on the tire question; I had Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo 2's on my old tacoma and they were amazing driving in deep and heavy snow. Although it doesn't seem like Idaho has near as much snow, granted i'm in the caldwell/nampa area which is well out of the mountains.
