but yup, here it is! all mine! I bought it this morning and immediately got acquainted with it because i had to drive it 120 miles down 55 (typical hilly windy mountain road) from mccall. Needless to say it feels tight as a drum. It is in really really great condition, couldnt be happier for a 122k truck. But i have been spoiled with my 38,000 mile fluke. Every minor imperfection in the 96 kinda bugs me (and there are about a total of 3 or 4). the interior is basically perfect. at 122k it almost looks better than my other one at 38k...the body is really good too. most of the body imperfections are just big paint scratches around the tailgate. the only other gripe is there is some noise from the engine area when i accelerate while in gear. It doesent do it when i rev it in neutural or if i downshift to 2 or 1. I cant really describe what it sounds like at the moment (my buddies older 4runner made the same noise i believe), but i am pretty sure its not a problem because i dove it 120 miles today and it didnt miss a beat. The owner also said he had it tuned up recently so that should have fixed it if it was a problem. ill see if i can get a recording eventually.

over all i absolutely fucking love this thing and cant wait to really use it. I get a nice little smile every time i look at it. Now i just have to deal with selling the 5 lugger and getting as much as possible, great

and yes, pretty much a mixture of all three

its easily drowned out with the radio even at normal volume, i just want to make sure it is nothing serious.

oh hell ya! this truck has all the factory options i wanted, factory cruise, steering wheel tilt, wipers, yada yada yada, but i was ecstatic when i saw it had auto windows and locks! my last taco had manual ones, god was that annoying.

i am going to find a friend who knows a good mechanic and see if he can take a ride and diagnose is...whenever i find such a mechanic ill let you know what he says about mine haha.

yea if it is snowy and that 195 road sux to travel on. Espcially when it is foggy that road is scary

 

195 sucks even when it's not covered in snow it has to be one of the worst roads in the country

 

where does 195 run through, what makes it suck so bad? just windy as hell with hair pins everywhere and constant hills?

 

thats the one with tons of blind corners and retarded drivers passing when they shouldn't

 

driving my truck back the other day a guy did the exact opposite. This guy in a small kia something was going about 5-10 under. It was pretty foggy so i didnt want to pass and get into a head on with some idiot that didnt have their lights on or something. I knew that there was a passing zone where the lane widened to 2 lanes in a few miles so i was just going to pass him there, well i guess i was still too close and he pulled off the road onto the shoulder where there wasn't really enough room for the cars in the road to safely get by, so everyone else had to steer almost into the other lane to avoid hitting the guy now sitting on the shoulder, thus defeating the purpose of why i didnt want to pass in the first place.

 

Does anyone need sliders I'm getting some after the new year I'm thinking we could get a pretty sweet deal if a few of us went in on some. Right now I'm at 350 installed for a regular cab I'll talk to him about x cabs but I'm *guessing* around 400 installed.

 

I'd love to, but I'm pretty much strapped for cash until well after the New Year... I'm due for a raise sometime in February which'll give me a little more freedom to drop some coin into her.

Doin' alright. Been a stressful couple of months. I had to make a marathon run to California to be with family. My Dad was diagnosed with Melanoma and had to have a mass removed. Many tests later and so far it looks like it hasn't spread to any major organs, just a couple of lymph nodes. He's back in surgery today to have more nodes removed so, whatever you believe, any prayers, chants, or thoughts are appreciated.
