Yeah they do. haha. I wonder how fast he was going. He must of had a grill guard on the front of there because it didn't seem to mess up the car too bad. Pretty sure if my hyundai hit a deer like that it would probably push the engine block through my firewall.

So here is a random question about brakes I am having a hard time finding an answer too. So my hyundai vibrates when I am driving above 45 or so, like the whole steering wheel shakes and such, and it is getting worse so I am trying to see if I can figure out exactly what is causing it, damaged part, worn part, out of alignment or whatever. I'm leaning towards worn tie rod ends at the moment.

Anyway about the brakes. I jacked up the front end the other day to see if I could see if anything was damaged like a bent axle, and when spinning the front tires the brake pads are tight against the discs. I can spin the tire but it will not spin on its own, where as I can give the back tires a spin and they will keep going. Is this normal or do I need to loosen them up somehow? I don't think they grab during driving as the car still coasts like no other.

EDIT: I should also mention that as far as I can tell braking it completely normal. I put new pads and shoes on the car a couple weeks before I bought my taco.

EDIT: Oh, I may have found my answer, http://auto.howstuffworks.com/auto-parts/brakes/brake-types/disc-brake2.htm

"Also, since there is no spring to pull the pads away from the disc, the pads always stay in light contact with the rotor (the rubber piston seal and any wobble in the rotor may actually pull the pads a small distance away from the rotor). This is important because the pistons in the brakes are much larger in diameter than the ones in the master cylinder. If the brake pistons retracted into their cylinders, it might take several applications of the brake pedal to pump enough fluid into the brake cylinder to engage the brake pads."

Well in neutral (its a manual) I don't think I am turning much in the drive train. and yes front disc rear drum and yes no drive train on the rear. I am not so concerned about the vibrations at 45, it's when you get up to 75 and the entire steering wheels literally bounces back and forth about an inch each way and it rattles the entire car. I'm not sure what rattles my car more, the vibrations or my subs. (and yes they are still there with the subs off)

I did. and it looks like and feels like the pad is physically making contact with the rotor. I don't think that is causing the vibes or there would be signs when I used the brakes while driving. I was just wondering if that was normal and according to wikihow or whatever site that was, it is.

I bought it with 90,000 miles and it has about 135,000 now. I know it could use an alignment as there is some uneven tread wear but I don't think the alignment is very off as the tires have been on it for around 40,000 miles and even the worn parts still have substantial tread left.

I should add that I believe it was the first winter I had it (senior in highschool) I played around with the e-brake a lot, and I slid the front tire into a curb. Not real fast but fast enough to bend the rim a little and it was several months before I got a new rim. That was why I was looking for damage but due to the fact that the vibrations have suddenly gotten much worse, i think it is more worn parts.

That would be pretty sweet. At the moment my car feels like it is going to shake itself apart. haha:rolleyes:

Think I should get some of those cam bolts for the alignment as I believe the camber isn't adjustable on my car as stock?

Damn you do know a lot of them.

I'm thinking of getting a pair of these decals for my taco but I am having a hard time deciding on the color.

What do you think about doing the "Toyota Racing Development" in blue; leaving the TRD in black but with a blue outline and eliminating the shadow; do the "Off road" in blue and eliminating the shadow, then maybe make the Idaho black and eliminate the shadow or maybe make the outline blue and the shadow black. I am having the start removed.

Think that would look good on my silver?

I'm thinking this color of blue

Mostly laplace twnsforms and using them to solve initial value problems and such.

Is it just me of does the blue look purple?

I am going to have the idaho shadow removed and have the offroad changed to match the trd.

Our teacher is being very careful with the linear algebra since it is not a pre req for the class but we are using it some as we are getting into harder linear systems and using matrices.

You are probably doing things in a different order because we covered bvp's in chap 2 and chap 5 is the last chapter in this book we are doing
