    Howd this turn out?

    My SD card stopped being recognized on my evo too. Got it back long enough to back up all my contacts and stuff by hard shutdown and restart but then it did it again a few hours later.

    To fix mine permanently (at least for now) it required a factory reset. You can do it yourself from within the phone. Menu>Settings>SD & Phone Storage>Factory Data Reset.

    I also synced to the PC and backed up everything on the card and then formatted the card then put the backup back into the card. Not sure if reformatting was required but I did it.

    Its working now. This was about 10 days ago when it happened.

    :eek: Sometimes a BFH just isn't enough. You should see my one stcok upper control arm. It has definately been abused by a hammer and it still would not come off the ball joint. A 3 armed puller popped it and the other side off easly. It did sound like a gunshot when it popped though
