Well I am left defeated... between the darkness and the lack of a good pair of pliers...

I got the passenger UCA off and both front shocks are unbolted, but I can't get the damn sway bar free and it is blocking the shocking from coming off.

    eh?

EDIT: oh wow... I read your sentence way different than what it says... yes I believe I do know how to take it off.

    My problem is right here:
When I spin that nut it just spins the other end and I need pliers to hold it and my needle nose wouldn't quite cut it, so I worked on the other side until it got dark and I may go get some vice grips or something tonight.

I plan to leave it on, although the disconnect idea is cool. I read about leaving them off, and am too big of a chicken about if I have to make an evasive maneuver or something on the freeway. I don't feel that rolling the pickup is worth what I may gain from a removed sway bar.

I did that too in my old Honda (offender plate bracket broke) and cop gave me a ticket for it.

You don't need pliers just put pressure on the joint twist the rod that connects the spindle to the sway bar if you twist it hard enough it should keep the joint form spinning. Or push or pull it so it doesn't spin.

if you get the taper back in to the seat hard enough it will not spin and the bolt will come right off.

Done. I sprayed the driver's side when I was playing with it, I just went out and sprayed the passenger and resprayed the drivers side.

I'll have to try this tomorrow.

In ID it is illegal to have it in your windshield. Don't know about WA though. ID should change it's law to match UT haha. They don't require a front plate.
