I used the rails to tie down a motorcycle it was pretty sketchy..... I wouldn't trust them for something that's permanently mounted. even with my Hi-Lift mounted to them they flex like crazy.

You will want one after mine :D haha

and i am actually going to reinforce the bed rails just in case. it'll also give me tow more tie downs more centered in the bed on each side. I have also read that the biggest issue is actually pushing the bed rail apart. So if you create a bare to make the bed rack not push the rails out but instead hold themselves, you'll be fine. Ill have on across the front of the bed and ill have the secondary rack to help will that. Still deciding on if i want on for the rear. Might be nice for more tie downs for some netting or something.

So I'm guessing i should look into getting a cb for Moab so i'm not left in the dark or.silence in this case while on the trails. I doubt i will use it more than once or twice a year though so i dont want to spend a whole lot on it. At the same time i dont want to.spend so.little that it wasnt worth buying. Looking at some threads I'm thinking maybe run a coax cable then get a lighter plug cb and a magnetic antenna so i can just pull it out when i dont need it. What do you think about the uniden pro510xl or the cobra 19dx4 or maybe even just a cobra handheld hh38wxst?

if i'm understanding things right you don't need the extra cables, antenna, etc. the range is greatly reduced without all the extras but if youre just trying to talk to the truck ahead of you it shouldnt be an issue. also its not a built in unit so it can get tucked away when youre not using it.

If I magically have those days off also...but that would mean I have 9 days off in a row...which I highly doubt will happen

I could maybe do Tuesday. I don't really know what my schedule will be once school is out, like whether I will be working or not. We could meet up in Tremonton, unless you want to detour through Pocatello;) What are you going down 2 days earlier for?
