    Not necessarily the starter itself, the solenoid contains high amp copper contacts that can develop burned areas that add resistance.

    Seems like there are several threads regarding solenoid issues on TW.

    Oh sweet! Thats a pretty good price. Now 20 or 30 ft...what a difficult, decision.


    Well dam, I didn't want to be doing 100 dollar repairs 2 weeks after getting it. I just can't get over how it didn't do this before the lights, now all of a sudden its doing it all the time.

    new update for everyone tired of hearing me bitch about my starter...i turned it on this morning (took 3 clicks than turned over) and drove to get gas and go to the auto part store. at the auto part store i shut it off and went to turn it back on again and it fired up instantly each time. so whoever said it was a cold start issue...i think you are right. so now im going to remove it and take it to oriley and get it tested.

    Well I took the starter off, massive, massive pain in the ass, and had it tested and the starter is fine...so its gotta be something with the wiring somewhere. This is incredibly fucking frustrating and I'm getting so pissed at this dam thing

    Maybe it is the cold start issue? There if the starter is good the battery is good..... Have you check the plug and the plug wires?

    Haven't decided yet I need to take a good look at what under there. I want to add some cross braces and attach the plate to those so if I bang on up I just have to replace one piece of plate instead of a whole skid plate that is 2-300 dollars
