Those tube steps offer no protection whatsoever. If you smash them on the rocks, not only will they be ruined, they will also push right into the pinch weld and cause body damage where otherwise there might not have been any.

I have seen it happen with my own eyes. Take then off. You will immediately gain 2" of ground clearance.

 

not to mention they are only held on there by M8 bolts which will snap off in the body of the truck because they don't bolt to the frame

Yep. I've heard this. and it's got me convinced. Maybe I will pull them off tomorrow if it's not raining.

That's pretty sweet. I have mine bolted to the floor of the bed. i don't like it there but i have no other options because i got the 60" and i need every bit of it.

 

Well we'll see how those brackets hold up to the vibrations from the trail. I think they may be a bit light for the weight.

I was lucky enough to find them at the local 4x4 swapmeet for cheap. Paid $1 each for them. After mounting my 48" hilift on them I wish I had got 4 instead of 2. I would have doubled them up. The good news is the concept is good.

 

It looks good I like it. I got a 4xtec mount for 15 bucks on Amazon it's pretty solid and lockable.

 

I had looked for something aftermarket I could make work but had about given up til I found these. If I didn't have the canopy it would be different.

They say the consciously your brain can handle upwards of 25,000 tasks at the same time...

they have NO idea what the sub conscious can do..its VERY powerful. Why athletes and professional as so good at what they do, its their sub conscious doing it for them, not them consciously thinking about it.
