250 bucks..hmmm..thats half of a new rear off road bumper..

 

It's a labor intensive process, takes about 3-4 hours to do it right.

 

do you even know how to mix drinks? are you sure this isn't a smoothie bar?

 

yea what happened to an internship? were did the bar thing come from??

i always thought it would be fun to be one at some point in my life for a short while

 

true..over half of a TG bumper!

and make a bumper? not super hard..but not easy either. Rear would be easy, front..eh..not so much. plus thats a ton of tools you would need to make that kinda stuff.

 

he's going to be an engineer remember!! he can just make the tools when he needs them fuck buying tools.

 

takes me about 20 mins to wash it and hour to clay bar it and another 20 to wax

 

the truck should only be clayed once a year unless you live near a rail yard or industrial manufacturing facility, then maybe 3 times a year.

 

And cash for steel and a lot of R&D/trail and error.

LCA skids are over kill i think unless you wheel really really hard. at which point you'd be thinking of doing SAS

 

That's what I was thinking too. I was looking at my LCA's and they pretty much look armored already. I'm sure it's not as strong as the armor plate but it can't be that weak either.

 

they would help, i have seen Jon crush his and skids woulda been nice..just not something that is needed til later in a build i think.
