How do you get that kind of info about a flight?

 

While I was working on my truck yesturday aleks called me a little shoocked, and asked if we were really going in 15 days...I said yes lol, we leave in 2 weeks. 8 think it dawned on him too. I stilll have a lot of work and prep and packing to do

Well right off the bat you have a 1 in 4 chance so 25% but that one is listed twice giving you a 2 in 4 chance which is 50% but that is 1 of 4 options which puts you back to 25% and so on...

Have you heard of the Monty Hall paradox? I heard about it on Myth Busters. I guess there used to be a game show about it. So there are 3 doors and there is a prize behind 1 of them. You pick one and then the host opens one of the 2 left over doors, whichever one has nothing behind it. You now have a choice to stick with your door or trade to the other one. I don't remember the exact math behind it but even though that looks like a 50/50 chance it is really a 33/66 chance. The theory is that if you stick with your door you have a 1 in 3 chance of winning and if you trade you have a 2 in 3 chance of winning even though your choice is between 2 doors at that point. Ironically enough people are said to stick with their door every time too. Myth busters ran 2 different tests. The 1st one found something like 30 out of 30 people stuck with their door and the second test found that the person who changes door wins almost every time and the one who doesn't almost always loses. I thought it was pretty interesting.
