on the way down i was 3 wheeling and tipping. after backing up and re adjusting getting down my drivers rear was still almost a foot in the air

Just got back from a run. Will shower, eat dinner then back to packing. haha. I'm being pretty sluggish about getting stuff together for some reason.

 

That is pretty much what all of southern Idaho looks like.

Did you drop the drive shaft out and work them on the bench?

 

Yep. Literally been hammering on just the first one for like an hour. It wont budge. Cap is sticking only likemaybe an 1/8. Not enough to grab it and pull it

 

U have a c-clamp to work with? PB Blaster? Maybe these will help

Yepp tried them both...

 

Try using the vice and a couple of sockets to press the u joint out of the ears. One socket will be big enough for the cap of the u joint to fit into the other socket is small enough to fit through the ear.
