Damn, full day.

Just got done with 2nd day of the internship, finished up safety training and got all my equipment, so hanging in the hotel till I catch the avengers(again) tonight with my buddy. Then its off to Baker in the morning for the real work to begin.

 

Baker is where Ill be all summer. Its where the gas field I'll be working in is located. Glendive is just the regional main office so we all come here to do the training crap. Basically I'll be a field hand/engineer learning all the stuff. Then they send us to North Dakota when we got big things going like fracs and drilling wells and stuffs.

Tomorow, probably just tour the field a bit and get settled.

 

Thanks. Second year with the same company. They doubled in size over a year, and set the record for producing the most net oil in the Bakken (big oil boom area in north Dakota) this year so its pretty cool.

That and they pay us stupid money to come work for them lol cant complain.

Whats your plans for the summer since Italy didnt pan out?

 

What company is it that you are working for? The Bakken is huge right now and yes the companies pay you well to be there, cause it sucks! LOL I am proud to be FROM North Dakota. And very happy I am FROM there and not still there. LOL

 

Yea its sweet. Your plan sounds alot like mine, just make as much bank as possible.

I need to get back in shape to. Once I get to Baker I'll start running again, I got a bunch of copies of P90X(see if its any good I suppose), and try to get into the highschool gym or something.

Small trip to Montana maybe? lol come to a meet

 

Im working for Fidelity Exploration and Production Co. They were a smaller company but are booming lately so its nice to have a solid in with them.

Yea N.Dakota is kinda a mess right now, once things settle up in the next 30-40 years and people get more settled it will be nice, alot of money to keep people there and make the state a nice place.

 

That would be sweet to go be apart of the race team, plus brag to the ladies "yea no biggie im on the team. Im the driver/mechanic/bad ass phtographer..O whats that? You want to go to dinner and then sexy pics? O well ok.

Yea I have kinda always looked it as a joke, sure intense but not what I have been into, but figure hell its free. Im not super slender, more muscle built but not in the shape I used to be so worth a try.

 

Yeah it is crazy. And crazy expensive..... My parents moved back to Minot, ND 4 years ago now and it was still o.k. then, but now my brother moved back and he can't find a place to save him. My parents ended up buying another place from one of dad's co-workers that was moving back to WY and sold them her place for a good deal and my brother rents it from my parents now. My parents place in Minot they got for like $219k, out of town with some land and they have been offered $750k for it by oil companies. Only problem is then they wouldn't be able to find a place to live for a reasonable price. My dad works out of Stanley and is the Production Superindendant for EOG Resources and my brother is renting that place in Stanley and is the Inventory Manager for Whiting. So they are both right in the thick of it and going to make as much as they can for as long as they can stand to be there.
