    The rear is much more important.


    Brady, a full new leaf pack and new shocks out back will help you much more then new front extended coil overs. Id say my rear suspenstion as of right now is far ahead of my front..and flexes so good :drool:

    Yeah, I've already put some money into the front as well and nothing in the rear, plus my leafs are possibly shot anyway. I think doing that SUA kit in the rear and then eventually getting some good coilovers up front will be what I do. I don't want to LT the front. I don't want the wider stance or all the costs that go with it.

    That kit says the only thing that needs to be welded on are the spring perches, so I assume it will still work with the stock shock locations and won't need an LT shock rack fabbed up? I know that wouldn't be full LT but I'm not looking for full LT.

    I think Mike is afraid to get his hands dirty now after that;) that is why he is asking username about the diffs, he is trying to decide if he should follow my route or just pay a shop to do it.

    No Mike will pay someone to do it no matter what condition he is in. He wants full warranty and is just more comfortable with that.

    Yota stuff is far more difficult than jeep (Dana) gears. Marlin

JT's diffs is nearby, I have tried to give them my money several times with no luck. Either they had to order parts, wouldn't price match, or wouldn't answer an email. I like ecgs because of the price, and they ship you a fully assembled diff. You just pop yours out and send back the core minimizing down time. Plus the warranty is crazy, 5 years with up to 35" tires. Nobody else offers that. Try some local hillbilly if you want, but you will only end up mad and spending money twice.

    You can just do the sua kit with stock shocks for now, just have to weld on the perches. I have a portable welder if you can't find anybody on poki to fry them on, but any fab shop can do it easy.

    Yeah I really doubt you will beat that warranty!! And even about 35" tires they say they may cover it, depends on if they feel your oversize tires caused it or if it was an error on their part or something.

    So I was looking at rear shock lengths for the 2nd gens and happened to come across this:

    Yeah that doesn't look too bad I guess. What are my options/benefits, if I choose not to do a full shock rack (or what ever that is called, "shock hoops"?) in the bed? I'm guessing using the stock location my issue for longer shocks will be, needing longer bump stops which just eliminates all of the extra up travel the SUA gives me. I wish I had my truck with me to just measure some shit. haha

    Thanks for the feedback man. Definitely don't want to do it twice!

    Is JT, Just Differentials in Cashmere? That was partly the reason I was asking. I got a turn key quote from them the other day. Comparing Brady's quote from ECGS, apples to apples, they were about $900 more but that included installs of the diffs, the ARB in front and complete compressor install and setup. $3500 out the door with tax and all.

    My question is if they know their stuff and can be counted on to do it correctly the first time. :notsure:

    Haha. Possibly;) Just playing with ideas for now. I don't really want to lose bed space by having the shocks coming up through, I don't have any as it is, but if I will get a lot better performance out of that SUA kit rather than going to dakars or all pro's I may go that route.

    Just got off the phone with ECGS. My diffs are going to ship out today and UPS says I will have them on the 14th (that is a rough estimate from them though, so it may be sooner).

    Those numbers seem to me to indicate a stock length shock, unless 2nd gen shocks are a bit longer that 1st gens. My 8.5" Foxes are 22.5/14.0 and are ideal for 2.5" of lift.

    BTW: stock shocks are different lengths. IIRC, the driver side is 1" longer.
