You can get decent travel without going through the bed, You can run the shocks outside the frame. Call mike and chat with him, he's the expert on all this mid travel stuff and could answer your questions better than me, you see what my truck looks like.

 

I wouldn't go LT Brady for the rear. The Allpros will be great for you i feel like. LT rear suspention is useless IMO unless your going full LT..JMO tho..

 

I may send him some messages on here. haha. I don't want to get too involved in it yet until I get the diffs finished and see where things are at.

Defined engineering sua isn't LT. It's just a stock replacement spring pack that goes under the axle. All of the factory mounting points are used except for the spring perch. 11" of travel in the front and 15" in the rear is mid travel, and is a very good balance. 15" travel in the front and 20" in the rear is long travel. 24" of travel in the front and 30" in the rear is full race. This is a video of my truck with deaver aal's and stock length shocks. Trust me, SUA is where it's at.

 

2nd gen. you can tell by the top shock mount. 1st gens are different.

 

Cool. If I get allpro's or Dakars and the 5100's aren't long enough I may go for those. If I do the SUA, I may need longer than 12" though, depending on what I do with the shock mounts.

Damn! 14 in one day. My best here in Idaho is 5. Usually I am lucky if I see 1 a year.

 

That's because the mooses (moosi, mees, ) are smarter than you. They know they are safe from you when in the NPs.

 

I believe it is mooses. haha and I don't hunt them, too hard to draw out and they are too hard to find in ID. In my area they only give out 5 moose tags a year, while they give out like 1500+ deer tags a year.

This is probably my best option for running long enough shocks with that SUA kit. Or at least something like this.

Just need to find one for a 2.5 shock instead of a 2.0. I read that Total Chaos scrapped these hoops for the 6 lug trucks cuz the 2.0 shocks wouldn't hold up on the 6 lug trucks.

 

Monte, u got a link to that 140 mile kokopelli trail? Its like through the desert right? If so thatd be easy. On our last desert ride we coveted 40 miles in a couple of hours. If u did it next year in spring or fall im really considering it, if its realistic on my bike haha. Have no clue how to go about this.
