id do either haha tho Bens seems like a cheaper way to go..and more secluded.

 

I stayed in one of those condo's last year, they are very nice! hot tubs, showers, a garage for minor fixes.
I think we fit 13 people in one and It wasn't too crouded. I thing the cost ended being around $180 per person which really isn't bad considering we were in it for 6 or 7 nights.

I'll be honest, I enjoyed camping this year, the people, the fire, the get drunk and not worry about being in public. It was a blast! I just wish bfe was a little closer to town.

 

ya thats not bad at all really. Id pay that to have a shower and pool and kitchen every night after trail riding lol

what about parking for everyone else tho??..

 

Tho i think since the Kokopelli is on my radar for next year possibly..i could only be there for like one maybe two nights before i hit that trail..

No idea tho at this point. Im not doing the Kokopelli with out my RTT..so unless i have that, it aint happening next year ha


either way, id help pay for a condo!

lol no..it'll be 4 days at least. its 140 miles long..and not just a dirt road..its trail the whole way man.

But i do know that if i hit it from the Moab end, ill be hitting TOTW again as its the same trail head and just to epic to pass up. Plus im sure you will want to go see.

 

yay! more 4x4 talk! Im doin koko on the bike, i think i have decided that one myself. If i could find a way to leave my truck in moab we could bring the bike up for koko then i could wheel the truck in moab. Ben, not sure why you want to do all of the same trails though? Are you talking the next moab meet or a different moab trip? I really liked how the last one went. And personally I liked camping and would have no problem doing it again. Just the whole camping atmosphere is awesome.

 

no i would, 7 mile is a great starter trail and if you get bored of kane then you might as well shoot yourself. but i would like to try other new trails and see other shit too. Like next year I want to do the trifecta one day for sure and BTR again

 

HC?

 

You don't need a HC rear Ben. You just need a proper lift and tires. I BARELY touched my hitch only 2 times the whole trip.

AND really..just a normal offroad rear bumper would merit you almost 3'' of clearance as you would lose the hitch.

Plus..you didn't like you cut up front one..there is no cheap way on going back on a HC rear lol Bed sides are NOT cheap. I think you'd be more then happy with just a normal wrap around bumper.

IMO they aren't worth the money and most would agree with 1st gens. 2nd gens..its almost required for hard core crawling.

Seven Mile is on my list...im crossing that crack damn it! and im doing wipe out hill. As is Kanes and TOTW was just damn fun and so pretty. Other then that. I want to do the Trifecta as well.

im open for anything else including hells.

Monte and Ben, I know you missed out on behind the rocks but it was by far my favorite trail of the trip. I would go back and do it again in a heartbeat.

 

I was looking at Brant's HC rear and I don't think it gave him enough of a gain in clearance for me to justify cutting up my bedsides. The shackles already hang lower than the bedsides and they so close to the rear that the body wouldn't touch much if at all before the shackles or back of the frame would hit something.

It's impossible to get bored with kane! It will be a totally different trail next year! Every year ot gets a little more difficult!

Eric and Relentless makes the best 2nd gen HC bumper IMO followed by ATO. They look sick.

Yea i will. For what i want to do with the truck, the RTT will be very necessary. HC rears on 1st gens..aren't..we already have good clearance really.

But hey, go for it. Cut it up.

I just foresee it being something that you personally regret..and there are plenty of great rear bumper choices for pretty cheap..

 

HC just looks bad in general on 1st gens i think..

And who need mud flaps? lol

What about the trail gear one? thought you have your heart set on that?

and i could if i wanted..but it would not be idea..
