I so had Brady's challenge yesterday when I was doing brakes on my truck next to his truck. If I wasn't drunk I would put them on stands just cause. And I am not home. Lol go DD slash wife!

 

Haha. I was going to say, it's not that hard to throw some jack stands under it, especially with your floor jack.

 

Anyone know if in the muffler that there is a small pebble or something bouncing around means anything? Cant seem to find anything searching for it.

 

umm... aren't some cats full of like bb's? could be your cats are shot and a bb escaped into your muffler. (I may be way off on this...) Also I can't imagine something being in your muffler is bad itself (where it came from could be bad though), just annoying.

 

Its not in mine, a muffler i was looking at buying but not sure if it means its falling apart inside or what the deal is.

 

No catalytic converter has BB's inside of them. it is a very fine mesh plated with precious metals. if something is rattling around inside the muffler it's going/is bad.

I wasn't sure about the tacoma's cats (and doubted the 2nd gen's did, since we have hi-flow cats), but some cats out there do, well they call them pellets not bb's.



I even found a website that buys the metals in those pellets and to save you money they have you just cut open the cats and collect all the pellets and mail them just the pellets instead of the whole cat.

haha actually it was great fun. got into some nasty stuff..stuff my truck couldn't do. And he is part of the 4x4 club here in town! which i had no idea even existed so im going to go hang out with them next weekend. Was cool.

Thanks man, me too. I ordered that sensor, but I am thinking now that maybe that CEL tripped from all the jarring of a pushstart. I'm kind of leaning towards a fuel issue, but who knows. Next time it does it I will have to spray some starting fluid into the throttle body and see if it fires up or not.
