She probably could. That is my time now since I barely run anymore. The most I run is 10 miles and even that is unhealthy. So I dunno about running 22+ Haha!

My roommate just did the Ironman 70.3 in Boise on Saturday. She took 17th for her division. 1.2 mile swim followed by a 13.69 mile (no idea where that number comes from:confused:) followed by a 13.1 mile run. Took her 3:27:52. She would go for a run every morning and would run 8 miles one day and then 12 the next averaging 8-9 minute paces, then she would add swimming or biking during the middle of the day and go to a crossfit gym in the evening. She is unreal!!

I was working on getting up to her pace so I could run with her in the mornings, but about the time I got there is when I hit finals week and quit running. haha

I've never ran more than 9 miles in 1 go and I've only done that a couple times. I usually stick about 3-5 miles a day.

google crossfit haha. Mostly it consists of cardio paced weight training and doing mostly bodyweight exercises like pushups and pullups and lots of full body exercises like clean and jerks and tireflips and shit.

She's the blonde, and not that age matters, but she does have 5 years on you Monte.

I have the swimming part down I can consistently do 18 minute miles with in a few seconds and any of you who think that's slow I dare you do to it.

I'm still working on the running part, I have a big relay coming up and I have to run 4 4mile legs. It's 185 mile relay... we'll see what happens. I need to get my ass in shape FAST. looks like I'll be in the gym A LOT but I'm excited.

Thats impressive man, I used to be on a swim team and at my peak I was a little bit above that. Not anymore tho lol dont think I could do it.

Need to get my ass in shape again, just no time to go workout once work is over lol these 12-15 hours days are a workout enough.

In my younger years I was on an Olympic Development Team. I spent my freshmen summer in Colorado springs at the Olympic training center and spent an average of 24 hours a week at in the water and 2 hours on sunday of dry land. I was a little off the pace of the olympians but I could hang for a little while. BTW Michael Phelps is a huge asshole even before he won the gold medals.

Thats awesome man, I loved the water, I would spend my summers at Flathead lake swimming for hours from bay to bay. I did it more for fun than anything. I would tow this little float board behind me so when I was tired I would simply lay on it and rest. Spend some awesome summers doing that.
Im willing to bet you woulda whooped my ass, 17:42 was my best time for a mile.

Then I started working alot more and got out of shape fast haha.

Wasnt a huge fan of Phelps ever, could care less about the pot deal, just wasnt a fan for some reason.

I don't know whether or not to call BS on you guys or not:confused: I'm not real familiar with swimming, but even the guys that were rated pro in that Boise Iron Man didn't swim that fast. The swim was the very first even and the guy that won the swim pulled only a 20.6 minute mile. But it was freezing cold and such so that would likely slow them down, but still these guys are rated pro level.

That'll be a tough run Adam:D Our Guard team was originally going to do the Sawtooth relay, but it was full when we went to sign up. That was a 60 mile race where we would each have to run two 5 mile legs.

I tried looking up my times on the USA Swimming but it only goes back 5 years. I only remember my 2/400 IM times the 200 I could do in 1:58 and the 400 was 4:21. It's easy to get out of swimming shape real quick. I'm going to get back into it this summer since my roommate is a pool manager.

Shit man thats fast. I cant remember my times. I wasnt as fast in the short races. I had this issue with diving in, no idea why, just couldnt do it effiecently. Once in I would get going tho. Judging from some pics Ive seen of you, you look like a swimmer. i dont lol.

A local rec center here where im working has a pool so Im excited to get back to it if I have the time. I figure a good swim will be a nice break between days of workouts.
