    That's gay! Sounds like when I went to Big O's to get my tKM2's. Everybody decided that was the day to have their tire rotated. Some people got pissed cuz they were there for a couple hours just to get tires rotated. What do you expect people when you show up and there is a huge line of cars lined up to go in the shop!

    Pretty much. Other than taking them off to attempt to mod them (which I am probably not capable of from lack of tools or expertise) I don't have much choice. Probably isn't worth the money to tell Jerry and send them back for a set without the kickout.

    I'm way jelly Monte!! It looks awesome!

    On a side note, my car tried to strand me at ace hardware this time. I went back in and got a can of starting fluid and sprayed up the throttle body and nothing. So alas I had to push start it again and it run just fine. I'm kind of stumped:notsure:

    Mine moved from Bend to my garage today. :D I literally just walked in the door from a 600+ mile road trip today.

    I've yet to do it myself but I've seen them do it in a youtube vid. The pointy end goes thru a pre-made hole in the skirt of the tent to a pre-drilled hole in the aluminum base. The rounded end tucks in to a corner of the windows flap to hold it up.

    http://www.cascadiatents.com/index.php?m=94&s=594&c=&id=114&&mode=17

    check out the 4:30 mark of the 2nd vid.

    It'll be Wednesday if everything works out. Still gotta finish painting the rack and then set it all up.

    What is you guys opinion, how far back should I put the rack? Almost to the tailgate (like in the pic I posted) or centered over the rear wheels or forward (almost up against the cab)?

    Thanks man! Glad you made it back. It's a great product!!

    I vote not all the way back but far enough back so that the rack is centered with the base of the tent. Then the back of the tent be even with the tail gate. So it'll probably end up more over the axle. I think that'll look the best amyways

    Thanks. With the COG directly over the axle, right? Makes sense but it might limit use of the remaining space forward and aft of the tent platform.

    I did thanks. And I posted in here about it a few pages back. :cool: I think it was the evening you were going back to spokane.

    BTW: Im curious about the yellow filters. They are different, only one of each. Hows that work?

    I want it to open to the side which means the width (56") runs length wise in the bed. The front to back measurement of the rack is 44". So if the tent platform is centered on the rack, it will hahang off about 6" (56-44=12/2=6) :D

    So you are saying to place the rack so the back tube is about 6" forward of the tailgate?

    The filters are for different conditions. Yellow is for dusty conditions I think. Can't remember what the blues are for. I like the blue tho

    And yes about that. 6-7 inches from the tail gate. Probably 7 since then you can grab the top of the tail gate easy. This configuration should leave room for your tool box too
