    I wheel a 4 door, in bed tool box with about 500 lb's of gear, full size spare, and full gas can. I feel your pain but there are times that all that weight makes you hook up so much better.

    Yeah, more tippy. Could be the alcans. :eek: They really got a workout at moab and I was maxed out on load there too.

    I agree, it definately flexes nice, even with worn out KMs I have excellent off road traction.

    I did notice this weekend that the rear brakes are locking up before the fronts under hard braking in dirt and gravel. I am thinking I need to reposition the BPV arm on the bracket.

    Even though the alcans are still 'smiling', even when fully loaded, I am thinking that they have settled some more causing the brake bias to be off a little.

    i took mine and set it to the max havent had an issues. Then again i weigh in at almost 6000 lb's

    Holy Shit!!!:eek: How does a 1st gen get that heavy?!!!

    With the sliders and new tires I might weigh in at about 5100lbs and that is almost 1100lbs over a stock. I'm amazed you have almost 1000 pounds on me. Brant's taco doesn't even weigh 6000lbs with him in it.

    The listed factory weight of a 1st gen double cab V6 is 3700lbs.

    Mikes was 5800lbs at Moab haha his is heavy then that due to a double cab.

    6,000 does seem a bit high.

    I actually weighed mine at the truck scale right before we loaded it onto the trailer to go to moad. It weighed in a ~4700 lbs and it was definitely fully loaded with gear and the canopy and of course all of my armor (bumpers, winch, skids, etc.).

    I put mine on a scale back before I did anything to it and it weighed 5040lbs, but I weighed about 180 then and the scale counted in 20's. IIRC Brant's weighs about 5500-5600lbs with no one in it, not sure what gear though.

    Yeah. On the 2nd gens you don't gain too much weight switching out the rear bumper unless you get the tire swing and all that (which brant has, with the fold out table and gas can holders). The factory rear bumper weighs 95lbs. The front bumper on the other hand weighs less than 10lbs.

    Stereo really adds to the weight of a truck as does small parts a lot if people dont think about like compressors, air tanks, tools, recovery straps, extra fluids, spare parts. Lots of his weight came from extra/spare parts and fuel since he has no chase team. But still. 6,700 lbs for a taco! Damn!

    Is there an advantage to solid mounts? Obviously there are some disadvantages. haha

    What kind of stereo does he have?:eek: My full setup in my car doesn't even weigh 200lbs. How much extra gear do you carry on you Konsta, enough to rebuild the motor and the entire front end plus winch someone out from over a mile away?:p I need to go offroading with you. I wouldn't have to pack anything:D haha

    6700lbs is insane:eek: I assume they reenforced the frame and such to handle that. haha
