Hey ben..here are some rough sketches..

This is like the simplest version. I made it so you could mount a tool box inbetween the main rails and its tall enough it should open no problem, it is lower then mine tho. Its only 15'' long so jerry cans would fit in the top part no problem. and you still retain a lot of your bed if you wanted to add the CBI tire carrier still.




Then a light hoop..





Now im playing with tire ideas..this is my first. I don't love it tho..and yes that is a 32x10'' tire..

I wouldn't do 6'' above the rail..thats pretty low man. I mean IMO you should be able to use the space good below it. Mikes is 12'' about the rail i think..mine is 14'' the one above would be 12'' as well.

and thats not super angled in either. Like 1.5'' i think..or 2..i can't remember haha but id angle it a little otherwise it'll won't flow as well with the cab..

 

HAHAHA, they were all derping around, and we really did just walk right back up going the other way. pretty funny

well if you make it like how i made mine with the rails mounted further toward the center(like i did up above) bed access will be easy.

I do another rendering tho of..lets say 8''..haha and ill do 6''. Ill try and get a mock bed drawn too for a better view.

and what about the tire? or should i make like a full bed rack with the tire mounted on the ass end of it..could be kinda cool..

way to many bars in that man lol you won't be able to pull anything out from under it. And it'll way too heavy to remove easily by yourself.

But i see where your going now. So you want the full tire to sit there huh? if you just want it as a tire rack..then it'll just be like 4 tubes max.

here is a mine lower. Its 7'' above the rail. the light bar tho has no back support..which isn't going to work with it that low..will have to do something about that. Its also now 20'' wide as thats how wide the CBI one is. But if you put it up against the cab, it'll have to b like 34'' to fit the tire up against the cab comfortably.

 

Man, that argument against heeps can't be heard here. Look around you. No one here is running 40s and most likely never will. Hell, look around all of TW, 99% will never run 40's.

Mine is about 2" too high. If I had to do it over again, I would make it a little bit shorter. Although, I was able to fit a 33x12.5 in through the side opening.
