the vib goes away when put in 4x4 immediately otherwise it's there till about 60/65mph. I need to get some 1 1/4" hose clamps and slide the CV boot up about an inch to keep the fin from touching on the top side which I will do tomorrow. I'm also going to drop the carrier bearing (already have a kit) to see if that helps it sounds like the rear U joints are binding a bit. I'm hoping that once i get the Elite bumper sliders and roof rack installed the weight will help with the CV angles and get rid of the vib. if it doesn't then I'll start looking into front and rear lockers.

 

Yea Diff drops are useless on 2nd gens sorry man..

You do need UCAs tho!! And yes do the boot slide mod, i did it, and I'm sure it'll be easier for you.

The bumper alone will drop it ilk .25'' at least so i wouldn't worry too much about it.

I've heard that the 885x is suppose to be sag resistant. we shall see!

Oh yea, they will be. They are heavy duty coils. But with a winch and bumper it'll still sag a bit..your adding like 130lbs up front lol

It's going to be way more than 130lbs I'm thinking about 110 for the bumper and another 90 for the winch. and another 30-40 for the secondary battery

 

130lbs net weight. Your front bumper isn't weightless ya kno..lol

and yea true about the battery forgot about that. So 150lbish

If i got synthetic I'll go with master pull, they aren't cheap but i've read fantastic reviews about them

 

If you are going synthetic, then Monte's numbers are more accurate. A winch with synth is ~60lbs

 

If your truck starts shitting parts... well better hope they aren't important parts

Yes, 4x4 does this. He rebuilds 1st gen and 2nd gen packs but he goes and get Chevy or Ford 1 Ton leafs and cuts them to size. MAkes for a 3'' leaf pack that rides well and holds good weight.
