Hey all. Haven't been on here for ages!

A group of guys who I've met through the forums have been gathering together for almost a decade to do an annual offroad trip.
We've done pretty much everything in Oregon and Washington - returning to favorites and uncovering some near-forgotten trails as well.

This year, we are hoping for something new, and set dates for June 9 - 12th.
We originally considered Whipsaw (in Canada), but the reports say snow will make it more difficult. Instead, we are seting sights on Idaho.

For those in Idaho, could you give us some trail recommendations, sites for research, etc?
We are well-equipped, seasoned, and ready for a challenge. We don't have dedicated rock crawlers, but still will do single black, maybe double black trails.

I've never done this in Idaho, but the Washington trails are so fun, so it might be a good idea or reference:

Can the entire IDBDR trail be done in a tacoma or are parts of it single track?

How about the Lolo trail area? I’ve been in the late spring bear hunting three times, but never when all the snow was gone up top. I want to do a late summer trip next year with several guys over 3-4 days, camping along the way. Best route start to finish?

Can you do Kamiah to Powell ranger station in a full size vehicle? Probably do it in August.

Asked a few friends who still live over there and while many say they wouldn't do it in a fullsize one of my buddies says he has done it many times in his Tundra with no drama.

Just got off the phone with a buddy of mine who spent many summers around there hauling trailers on nf500. He said he wouldn’t worry about taking a full-size up there but you may expect some pin stripes if the trail hasn’t been trimmed. He said the trail has been graded and widened over the past 2 years at the previous rough sections. He was up there last fall on a sxs and said it was probably the best he had ever seen it. Here is a pic from 2 weeks ago

Sorry all for not getting back - after thinking on it, we didn't want to waste our time worrying about fighting snow the whole trail (easy enough to do that around home!).

My group decided to explore some things we've neglected in Washington: Reiter and Walker Valley, with some side excursions to things like the Iron Goat trail. The trip didn't disappoint, and maybe next year we think ID for August-ish.

Look at that trail goodness... I think this one was Reiter.
