Hey guys.. I want to keep on my stock mudflaps, but it bothers me that they have the White "4x4" on them.. i mean, i like the 4x4, but i was curious if anybody has spraybombed them with plastidip or anything, (and if so, how durable).. i just want to get rid of the white..

i contemplated trying to paint them black with a paint pen, or use GoofOff to remove the white paint, but figured i would check here to see if anybody has OCD like me with these.. lol

    try painting them.

if that fails get a set of Husky's. they're less than $50 for the rear set. OEM from the dealer will run you over $80 for ea flap.
Husky's are custom fit to you year/make/model and they're easy to install.

Duplicolor trim paint usually matches the OE plastic on most manufacturers.

I removed the white from mine. I used white wall tire cleaner (pretty corrosive stuff) an a stiff bristled, white wall cleaning brush and brushed away, the white chunked off like paint. I'll look for pictures and post what i find in an edit.

Also, i didn't want huskys or weathertechs because they are so much more stiff than stock.

Try some lacquer thinner. It takes paint off of anything I don't want it to.
