If I was you I'd go the home made route. Put one more nut/fender washer on the backside of the quickfist and mount it on the lower frame tube if possible. It seems like being mounted on the crank would allow it to move in one direction.

My bikes wheelbases happen to wedge in tight between the front of the bed and tailgate. The front wheel doesn't move at all.

If you are only looking to carry a couple bikes look at the 1up racks,if you want to shuttle multiple bikes/people look at recon racks.

    Hello everyone,

Spring is almost here. Out with the bikes and group ride with friends were done, and our annual headache resurfaced. We are the most active riders in the group (also the only one with a garage) so friends tend to leave their bikes here with us. My garage is not that spacious which is about 15x25 feet. There are always about 13-15 bikes (mix of hybrids, roads, and cruisers) which made it a nightmare to navigate around them even though we always try to park them neatly.

Can you suggest a good parking system? I am open to hang them on the walls by top tube or wheels.

Pics with description will be greatly appreciated!

PS: Yes, we know we can just tell friends to take their own bikes home, which will still leave us about 8 bikes...

I went thru this exercise last year and blew a bunch of money along the way. In the end, I like the tailgate bike pad. You can carry 4 bike easily and for security I use a Master Lock steel cable and combination lock - all you have to do is loop it thru the frame, front tire and the factory bed floor hooks.

There are several manufacturers for the pad, but the raceface seems to accommodate the size of the tacoma's bed and our rear camera. I'm happy with it.
