Ideas for my next "mod"

I recently bought an 07 Tacoma and I had some big dreams for it. I decided to skip out on the lift, backup camera, apple car play, and tacomabeast headlights, so after I put on new wheels and tires I'm sorta lost on what to do now.

I was thinking about putting in a new radio as this year model didn't come with an aux port or bluetooth capabilities. I have some weathertech floor mats on the and in a few paychecks I may also upgrade the sound system. Other than that I don't really have anything planned. I was hoping that some of y'all could bounce some ideas around to help me blow some money

I would debadge. And see about painted rear bumper to complete the blackout.
Maybe skid plates or running board/sliders?

 

Thanks man! It amazes me that the new base model had that kind of setup, just shows how toyota learned their market. When you say a painted bumper do you mean paint the factory one, or buy a new one? And I still have the chrome grille that I've been looking to replace. I'm not going to pull the trigger on running boards until I find the ones I absolutely love.

 

seriously..a lot of the SR are better looking imo

I’m not sure with the 2nd gens but the 3rd gens you can replace the Chrome bumper caps for painted ones but you may have just one bumper piece. I’m sure someone has painted it haha

and yeah I had the OEM 2nd gen running boards and actually really liked them but just didn’t use them as much as I thought so I got rid of them.

I got an 07 about 5 moths ago and the biggest difference is always wheels tires and a lift. Cost the most, but for sure makes the biggest difference. My 2 cents is that you should go with some quality ting, I went with 2 percent blackout tint the other week, but if you like to see out your windows 20 is perfect.

 

Easy mod would be to start de-chroming everything. But you said you don't have Bluetooth? I would upgrade the head unit if I were you.

 

I think I’m gonna do a radio upgrade ASAP, just taking my time

 

I've got the Pioneer wnex with Scosche adapter. It has wireless carplay. Honestly, probably the best thing I've done to my truck from making a difference to day to day.
